Designing a delivery management platform to enable restaurants to operate end-to-end food delivery within Ame’s super app ecosystem

Problem context
Ame was the digital wallet and fintech arm of one of Brazil’s largest retail groups, Grupo Americanas, with the ambition of evolving into a super app. One of its strategic initiatives was entering the food delivery space.
To enable this expansion, it was not enough to offer a marketplace to end consumers. It was essential to build a platform that allowed restaurants to manage their entire delivery operation, including orders, menu, pricing, and operational flow, in a simple and efficient way. Without this, the ecosystem experience would not be sustainable.
The solution
I designed the experience of a delivery management platform for partner restaurants, enabling them to operate the full order journey within a single system integrated with Ame.
The solution was designed to support different operational scenarios, balancing business flexibility with user simplicity. The focus was on structuring clear flows, reducing operational friction, and ensuring that critical functionalities connected coherently across the journey.
The result was a solid experience foundation to support Ame’s entry into food delivery, built to scale and evolve alongside the maturity of the product and the ecosystem.
My role
I acted as the designer responsible for shaping the platform experience, from the ideation phase through the definition of the core user flows.
I conducted research and desk research to map market patterns and identify essential functionalities, analyzed existing data to extract relevant insights, and structured the experience architecture. I designed user flows considering different operational scenarios, working in close co-creation with the product, engineering, and business triad throughout the process.
My role was to ensure coherence across functionalities, clarity in the user journey, and alignment between restaurant needs and Ame’s strategic objectives.
